Was a bit skeptical from some reviews but booked for event that was on property for halloween. Keeping in mind the ship was old. It is not luxury but very well preserved and period correct. Room was bigger then expected. Kids had own area. Great view of harbor. Cafe food was very good and portions shareable. We ate lunch and breakfast there. Tours are 1/2 off as a guest. Ghost/haunted tours were great. Ship definitely haunted. Did not realize proof until going back thru pics/videos. It's not just a hype. Best staff I we have had in a hotel in literally yrs. They like working there and reflect that on guests with attention and friendliness. Ship is a great piece of history. We went for Dark harbor which being a hotel guest gave you a lot of perks for event. We enjoyed the ship more then the event. We are going back in Dec to do the rest of tours. Did Disneyland the Monday after. My kids said Queen Mary was better. Downfalls* but not huge deal No food on ship after 10pm. Vending machines only. No room service. No guest pool. A/C is super primitive. Port holes do open and sea breeze is nice but probably not comfortable in hot months. I would not recommend inside middle rooms. No windows. A lot of stairs slow and small elevators Restaurants on board are a bit pricey but good food and shareable. Lunch x4 $100 Breakfast x4 $70

Well worth a stay as long as you are happy with the limitations of being in a room first in service in the 1930's, which for us was part of the charm. Room size was adequate, cleanliness was good and we had an excellent view of Long Beach from our portholes (which opened). Staff were helpful but we almost found out by accident that guests were entitled to a discount on the ships tours, which were excellent, and free entry to a fantastic Jazz night in the main bar ($20 pp normally) which was the highlight of our stay. There is a lot of ship to explore and a lot of history to absorb. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on board.

Rooms were as the were in the 1960's. The beds were very comfortable; it was nice to see that many of the plumbing fixings had been retained (thankfully to work within modern day systems). The restoration is getting on well, and hopefully will continue to bring the Mary back to its former splendour. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. The drinks and food were of a good standard and service. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Staff are friendly and happy to educate you on the history. You can explore so much of the boat and I recommend finding the speakeasy if you enjoy cocktails. Rooms make you feel like you're in the 30s/40s. Bed was comfortable and we had plenty of room. We didn't have any complaints at all.

Stunning Art Deco ship. Authentic cabins. We paid extra to do haunted tour (discounted rate for overnight guests). The tour was informative, with great stories and visits to otherwise hidden parts of the ship. Buffet breakfast in the cafe was delicious with fantastic service by Luke.
